Hamidul Huq Choudhury (1901 - 1992) was born in Feni, Bangladesh and was educated in Calcutta, and had a varied career as a lawyer, politician and newspaper proprietor.
He was a minister in the Bengal provincial cabinet under The Government of India Act 1935 and was actively associated with the [Pakistan Movement], and also held ministerial office in the East Pakistan cabinet. Hamidul Huq Choudhury served as the Foreign Minister of Pakistan in 1955 and as the Finance Minister of Pakistan in 1958.
Hamidul Huq Choudhury was the Founder Chairman of The Bangladesh Observer, which he established in Dhaka in 1949.
Hamidul Huq Choudhury died in Dhaka on 21 January, 1992.
