Hamidoğlu

Hamidoğlu or Hamid Dynasty was one of the 14th century Anatolian Turkish Beyliks that emerged as as a consequence of the decline of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm and ruled in the regions around Eğirdir and Isparta in southwestern Anatolia.

The Beylik was founded by Feleküddin Dündar Bey, whose father İlyas and grandfather Hamid had been frontier rulers under the Seljuks. Dündar Bey's brother Yunus Bey founded the Beylik of Teke centered in Antalya and Korkuteli, neighboring the Hamid dynasty to the south.

The Ottoman administrative subdivision centered in Isparta, roughly corresponding to the present-day Isparta Province, was called the sanjak of Hamid until the early years of the Republic of Turkey.
