Hamdy Kandeel

Hamdy Kandeel (Arabic:حمدى قنديل) is an Egyptian T.V and Radio personality. He graduated from the faculty of Arts and literature in Cairo University in 1960 (journalism section), before working in the press in Akhbar El Yom and Dar El Tahrir publishing houses. Kandeel worked as an editor and presenter of political programs in the Egyptian television since its inception in 1960, he also reported news and worked as a military correspondent.Assuming a number of positions in the Egyptian TV , the Arabic MBC and ART networks and the Egyptian Dream-space channel. Hamdy Kandeel also worked for the UNESCO, and an adviser to the Ministry of Information, Sultanate of Oman and adviser to the Jordanian television.He lectured in a number of universities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. A number of activities of professional associations in the media and communications in London and Washington,and writes in a number of Egyptian newspapers, the author of three books about communication.

Kandeel is considered a Nassirist he was known of supporting President Gamal Abdel Nasser during the Nassirist era in Egypt at the 60's.

He presents a weekly political programme on the Dubai T.V space channel , he is popular among Arab viewers for stating his opinions freely in his T.V programmes and newspaper articles
