Hamar Airport is located at Stafsberg, just north of the town of Hamar in Norway, and was opened Nov 17, 1950. At that time the airport was located at the borderpoint between the municipalities of Hamar, Furnes and Vang i Hedmark.
The airport is located in an area with very stable climate and good flying conditions.
