[edit] film templates?
Why does this have film templates? And why is Denzel mentionned? This is a GAME, Wingnut INTERACTIVE. --Mattgcn 02:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Uh, I think it's been fixed now. Bronzey 04:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I dub thee
Halo ,wait for it, 4
i dont think so. they said halo 3 was the end of the current story arch. but they didnt say they wernt going to go back and do a halo: fall of reach. or a halo:first strike or even a halo: ghosts of onyx, all of these would make good interactive movies.
[edit] RE: I dub thee
I think it's more likely this the is the project, Forerunner, that was spread around online as a rumour before this year's E3.
- This isn't the place for speculation or chat, try a forum like those at HBO but this is for discussing changes to the article. Thanks...James086 04:30, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
It isn't a game... or a movie. According to this month's OXM. How can we be sure that this isn't Halo Wars? It sounds pretty similar... Dkrocks 03:57, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- Bungie may be tricky, but they never outright lie. They announced the two games as being seperate and distinct, and they probably are. If anything else, UHP is slated to be "a blend of gameplay and storytelling quite unlike anything the games industry has ever seen before." Though the two might be related, chances are they aren't, if only because they are being made by different companies. Ourai т с 11:56, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
It is possible it might be a public release of the Halo Bible because of the near-by release of Halo 3, the end of the trilogy. It might even be possible that it is a sort of machinima with real actors, basing off either one of the Covenant wars or the trilogy. It would likely be interesting to see how players react when they see Spartain-177 fight his way. Eiyuu Kou 18:09, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Handheld XBOX"
Unless someone can find a link from a reputable news source (ie.OXM, not some random forum post from someone who claims their uncle works for Bungie), or a press release from Microsoft or something REAL, this 'handheld' nonsense is being deleted. Mk623SC20K 01:16, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- Also, do we know for sure that it will be released on the 360? I'm putting TBA next to that for now. Mk623SC20K 01:21, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
- It was announced at X06, which this article says is Microsoft's Xbox show, so I'd say it is. Also, this Bungie story confirms Jackson is "creating a new Halo adventure for the 360". Bronzey 00:07, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] An Arbiter Game, perhaps?
Maybe a game where you play as the Commander of the Fleet of particular Justice, or maybe a Forerunner game. Or maybe a Halo Game from a Grunt's view. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.115.140.13 (talk) 05:04, 12 February 2007 (UTC).
Say what? FortyFortySeven40407 22:05, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bungie Template
This is not a Bungie-developed game. Why does the article include a Bungie template? 86.128.154.9 17:30, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I removed it. Although Bungie owns the rights to Halo, this is not their game.157.174.221.168 16:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Third Person?
This is unsourced, and unlikely. It smacks of vandalism, but i'll leave it in - who knows, it may be genuine. 125.238.89.68 22:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- It's been established that there will be a new Halo project led by Jackson. See [1]. --firefoot77 07:06, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Link
Hope that link helps a little with the info put out. I'm trying to find more on it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stannabors (talk • contribs) 09:57, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

[edit] False Info
The Bungie Podcast did NOT say anything about a demo or trailer being shown at the Tokyo Game Show. It needs to be deleted. - Gerald —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.184.77.24 (talk) 18:38, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Working Title
The tentative title is Halo Chronicles as revealed in the 09/20/07 Bungie Podcast. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.19.14.28 (talk) 20:01, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Citing sources
I added two refereces and one tag on what still needs a source. If we don't like the Microsoft Press Pass link we could always use something like this one. At any rate, there is now one reference for each paragrah, which I'm going to be bold about, call sufficient, and remove the "does not cite references" tag. --Culix 18:52, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 'Trilogy' claim
Currently there's a claim that this project is going to be a trilogy that was marked as unsourced; I found the 'source' on the Halo series page, which refers to an outdated page on Bungie.net. This is the article I'm pretty sure that claim is referring to ([2]), but after reading it over, I still can't find any verification of a trilogy. [3] mentions that this will be a series, but there's no detail as to how many games. Am I missing something here, or should the trilogy claim be replaced with 'series?' --firefoot77 07:20, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Source for title?
Does anybody have a source that the untitled Halo Project is going to be called Halo: Chronicles? I don't see a cite for that being the name, so unless someone comes up with a cite, this should be moved back to Untitled Halo Project. Anakinjmt (talk) 21:56, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
It was a slip-up in one of the September Bungie podcasts, with Joseph Staten explicitly calling it Halo: Chronicles. Keep the name. 125.238.88.118 (talk) 09:02, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- It still needs a cite. Which podcast was it, and what's the timecode during the podcast where this was slipped? Anakinjmt (talk) 15:31, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

- Don't have a time for it, but it was the September 20 Bungie Podcast. 125.238.89.18 (talk) 21:51, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

first screenie has been leaked... I don't know how to add it
Where did this screenie originate from? It looks like a republic commando mod. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.177.72.28 (talk) 15:04, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's from the new Tiberium game by EA. 125.238.88.20 (talk) 03:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Statements
The game is toted to be a "new chapter" in the Halo story and is slated to feature a new way of playing games.
Like what? All that is mentioned is:
The British Xbox 360 magazine Xbox World 360 speculated that the game will be more of an "interactive movie"; some parts will be semi-playable, and certain decisions will lead to different outcomes
Which is pure speculation from a non-official source. What's going on? How are these hyperbolic and speculative comments getting into Wikipedia?
