[edit] Icon Names
I found the real names of the Director and the Storyteller on the main website for Halloween Horror Nights, so I added them in the same fashion as the Caretaker.--Farquaadhnchmn 19:23, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- It is Paulo1 (click on the film and then on the newspaper).

- I am trying to reach an agreement with 24.110.244.40 and 68.207.116.135 as to the director's real name. I am not getting any dialog with these two users. I saw the following from 68.207.116.135:
-
- "There has been a lot of talk of fans debating on what his true name is. It was thought to have been Paolo Ravinski, while on the "Sweet Sixteen" site it says Paulo Ravinski. The slight change in spelling have many fans debating. In Hollywood, the site for their number 13 says that his name is Pavel Previnsky."
- And can understand why there is confusion. I checked and Pavel Previnsky is correct for Hollywood based on their website. However, I do not have proof about the name change from Paolo to Paulo and until such evidence is presented, I will keep reverting it.--Farquaadhnchmn 14:27, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hollywood
Was HHN an outgrowth of a version in Hollywood or was it spawned here? The article says both...--Farquaadhnchmn 12:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- I had forgotten there was a Halloween event at USH back in 1992 (I did not attend), but I was reminded by a review of USH HHN 1997 on rec.parks.theme[1]. I have not been able to verify what it was called, but I believe it may have been called "Fright Nights", like the first USF event in 1991. It's possible there was a USH Halloween event before 1992 as well, but I don't have that data. Since HHN continued in Florida between 1993 and 1996, though, it's certainly fair to say that those events provided inspiration for USH HHN I. --Dan Harkless 19:52, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- The tour guide from one of my legs on the Terror Tram sent me a private message after seeing my videos of the Terror Tram on YouTube. I've posed the question to her about the 1992 event. She's only 22, so she won't have direct knowledge of this, but perhaps she's come across talk of it. Speaking of video, I was thinking it might be nice to provide links to public videos of mazes and shows, where available, so that people reading the article(s) can get a better feel for certain attractions than the small capsule description provides. I'm not sure what the best format for including such links would be, though. --Dan Harkless 01:59, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately though I got a reply from that tour guide, she ignored my question about the 1992 event. --Dan Harkless 01:53, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Split
There is enough information for Hollywood to constitute a split into HHN Orlando and HHN Hollywood. I would like to open this possibility up for discussion.--Farquaadhnchmn 22:37, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, just to have some conversation on it, I think a split could be a good thing if enough information was done about the Hollywood version. The current article is mostly about Orlando (not surprisingly since it has been going on for longer) and if it's split, I'm afraid much of the information about Hollywood would just be a re-hash of the generic information here. We need someone who is an expert on the Hollywood version to come and add info about each year's houses and theme and what makes the two versions different. If that happens I believe a split should occur. Phydend 05:04, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- As far as active contributors to the article go, I'm probably the closest thing we have to an expert on the USH event. I attended the 1997, 1999, and 2006 events, but not the 1998 or 2000 ones. I've already added descriptions of all the USH mazes and shows from my maps from when I attended and from info online from when I didn't. USH has not done distinct themes each year like USF has done. This year's borrowing of the Director theme from USF HHN 13 is the first time. I have never been to the USF event, so I can't do much comparing and contrasting with it. As far as splitting the article goes, I'd be comfortable either way. --Dan Harkless 19:52, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- See your user talk pages for further instructions, because no one else seems to want to help or talk. Thanks guys!--Farquaadhnchmn(Dungeon) 21:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Okie dokie. I can't guarantee when this week I'll have time to work on it, but hopefully soon. --Dan Harkless 02:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yep, I'll be helping whenever I get a chance this week. Phydend 03:25, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I wasn't able to help out with the split, guys. Shortly after the above conversation I got hideously busy and had to put my Wikipedia activities (other than the occasional spelling / grammar / wording correction while looking something up) on hold for awhile. Just now starting to get out from under the backlog. I did at least finally do a little cleanup to the new USH HHN article, and to links to it from The Mutaytor article and from the Theme Parks section of my own site. --Dan Harkless 01:53, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
