Shouldn't this have some actual content related to an actual hall of mirrors??

Can we have a picture?

how about someone add something about the HOM effect in dark forces 2: jedi knight. It was somethuing that came up whenever someone tried to make a complex level. I would try to add something on it if it werent for the fact that I dont know anything about it other than its existance and that it was seriously limiting the creativity of the level crators.

It happens with untextured walls in the three Marathon games, and in Star Wars: Dark Forces when the player's viewing distance gets too long or passes through too many sector boundaries. Not sure there's much else to say about it. --DocumentN 00:53, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Solid color & skybox?

Many modern game engines compensate for this effect by causing any area outside the bounds of the map to render a particular solid color or texture using a skybox. You don't need to use a skybox just for a solid background. It's enough to clear the buffer filling it with the color. Lampak (talk) 07:19, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
