Halse is a village and parish in Somerset, England, situated six miles north west of Taunton in the Taunton Deane district. The village has a population of 271 [1].

The village is served by a Norman church dedicated St James the Less and the New Inn village pub.

Author and scriptwriter Jonathan Morris lived in the village from 1975 to 1993.
