Halloween is the 1st demo recording by the group Napalm Death.

The recording was made in Knowle (near Birmingham) in August / September 1982 as a live recording (with no overdubs) on to a 2-track recorder. It was the first demo recording made by the group.

The line-up for the recording was:

Nik Napalm - Vocals
Daz F - Guitar
Robbo - Bass
Rat - Drums

The cassette did not receive an 'official' release. However, the group did send the cassette to friends on a C30 cassette with a cover by Nicholas Bullen.

The title of the recording (created by Nicholas Bullen) refers to the All Souls Night festival celebrated by pagan religions, and was inspired by the cover of the demo recording which featured a skull with Rose flowers in the eye-sockets.

"Punk is a Rotting Corpse" was the first song written by the group in December 1981.

"The Doomsday Cometh" was inspired by a line from a poem written by the singer of the Anarchist punk group Naked which appeared in Enigma fanzine - Issue 3.
