Hall Caine Airport was the first airfield on the Isle of Man. It was used in World War I by the Royal Air Force and between the wars served the island as a chartered airfield. After World War II it fell into disuse as there were three alternative concrete airfields on the Isle of Man (notably Ronaldsway). The airfield was used by the Gliding club in the 1990s but they relocated to Andreas airfield.
