Halfway, Berkshire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Halfway is a hamlet in the civil parish of Welford in the English county of Berkshire.
It is located in the district of West Berkshire and the Newbury parliamentary constituency. It is called halfway because it is situated half way between Newbury and Hungerford on the A4 road. It used to be the site of a folly-type building in the shape of a mock castle which was demolished in the 1960s.
