Hala'ib

Hala'ib (Arabic: حلائب) is a port on the Red Sea's African coast, with a population of approximately 1000. It is the main town in the Hala'ib Triangle where the closest recognized Egyptian town is Shalateen, an area of disputed territory between Egypt and Sudan which has been under Egyptian military annexation since the 1990s.
