函館市若松町のJR函館駅舎。2003年6月開業、同10月に正式竣工。地上2階。建築主は北海道旅客鉄道（JR北海道）。設計はJR北海道 工務技術センター、デンマーク鉄道、北海道日建設計。施工は大林組、加藤組土建からなる共同企業体。中央に卵形断面の塔「ロトンダ」を配し、ほぼ全面の外装にチタンパネルを採用、夜間はガラス壁面が浮かび上がるような照明が灯される。第49回鉄道建築協会賞（2004年）作品部門入選、平成15年照明普及賞（2004年）優秀施設賞を受賞。函館ハーバービューホテル前から駅舎の南西角を北向きに撮影。
