Hakea pachyphylla is a shrub which is endemic to the Blue Mountains in New South Wales in Australia.
It grows from 0.3 to 2 metres in height and has yellow flowers that appear in axillary clusters in spring. These are followed by globose to obovoid warty capsules which are approximately 3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. The leaves are terete and range from 1 to 5 cm long and 1 to 1.8 mm in diameter
