Hakan Ozkok

Born in 1976 in Gaziantep, Turkey, Hakan Ozkok graduated from the Bursa Cinar Lisesi ranking first among the class of 1994. He attended the Bogazici University in Istanbul and received his BS degree with Honour in Civil Engineering in 1998. He went to USA on Cornell University's merit based scholarship for postgraduate studies. Within 2 years and as the youngest one of his class, he received both Master in Financial Engineering and MBA degrees from Cornell University, New York in 2001.
Ozkok joined to Goldman Sachs as an associate. He was trained in London and New York and then based in Chicago. He returned to Turkey in 2003 and served as executive director for a private company. He has completed largest ECA deal without any commercial bank or Treasury Department of Turkish Republic guarantee. He has contributed to real sector in Anatolia by inviting and introducing corporations to the region and by concluding deals with foreign financial institutions such as Commerzbank, Merrill Lynch, International Finance Corporation and Islamic Development Bank.
