Hakan Kadir Balta (born March 23, 1983 in Berlin, Germany) is a Turkish football player who plays as a defender for Galatasaray.
He formerly played for Manisaspor before moving to Galatasaray in September 2007. As part of the transfer deal Galatasaray exchanged Ferhat Öztorun and loaned Aydın Yılmaz, and Anıl Karaer. He has recently been called up to the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Norway and Bosnia-Herzegovia. He currently has 4 caps for the national team. In the last game of the season he scored an amazing goal from distance that secured the title for Galatasaray and he won Turkcell Super League 2007-08 with Galatasaray.
