Hajime Matsumoto (born Oct. 17, 1974) is a Japanese activist, and a recycle shop owner. Matsumoto is perhaps best known as a founder of Hosei No Binbo Kusasa Wo Mamoru Kai (Association to Protect the Poverty of the Hosei University) 法政の貧乏くささを守る会 and Zennihon Binbou Gakusei Rengokai (Japan Poor Student Union). He is now working in the community in Koenji, Tokyo, as a leader of the movement "Shiroto No Ran (the Uprise of the Amateur)". He manifests his goal as creating a space where people can have fun without money.
