[edit] WP:AIV

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. --Casper2k3 22:20, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] How were those IP edits vandalism?

I am just wondering, is it obviously incorrect information being added? I know little about those subjects. Please respond on this page on not my talk page. Funpika 22:26, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Very obvious (if you know the subjects ;). I do know those subjects and try to keep an eye on them. (HairMetalLives 00:16, 16 May 2007 (UTC))

[edit] 68.227.217.170

You seem to keep reporting this IP address for edits that are not clear vandalism. I am concerned that this is content dispute between you and the owner of the IP address. If it isn't, please provide more details of why these edits are vandalism, if it is please consider following the dispute resolution guidelines. Thanks TigerShark 23:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

It's clear vandalism. He keeps adding the same false information to the same pages. He needs to be blocked. (HairMetalLives 00:15, 29 May 2007 (UTC))

[edit] User talk:68.227.217.170

Your not suppose to warn a user with {{uw-vandalism3}} first, as you did with the user above. {{uw-vandalism1}} would have been the right warning. You might want to read over this before warning anyone else, as to not scary off newcomers. Thanks! TTalk to me 00:24, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I'll be more careful next time. (HairMetalLives 03:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Speedy deletion of White Trash (metal band)

A tag has been placed on White Trash (metal band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --EoL talk 23:41, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SmallTalkTitleLogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SmallTalkTitleLogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 13:34, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry about that. I may need help writing a detaild fair use rational. I will certainly do my best, however. (HairMetalLives (talk) 20:00, 16 April 2008 (UTC))
