Is it Malakot or Melekot? Shewa or Showa? Piet 12:46, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

It is correct to use any of these versions of these names, and indeed all these versions have been used. Haile Melekot, Hayla Malakot, Shewa, Showa, Shoa have all been used and as they are not English words, any can be correct. Haile Melekot and Shewa are phonetically closest to the Amharic. [edit] Inconsistency?

In the first paragraph of the section "Reign", a letter Melekot's is mentioned and in the next sentence it is stated, that Selassie refers blablabla. Was it Melekot or Selassie? — Tirkfl^talk 12:20, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
