Haitair

Haitair is a start-up airline based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It plans to operate scheduled services from Port-au-Prince to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and New York, using wet leased aircraft similar to Boeing 727s or McDonnell Douglas MD-80s.[1]

The airline was established in June 2006 and is wholly owned by Webens Sabbatt, Chief Executive of the airline.[1] The airline applied to the United States Department of Transportation for authorization to operate scheduled services from Port-au-Prince to Florida and New York on 20 June 2006.[2]
