The Hairy-backed Bulbul (Tricholestes criniger) is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Tricholestes. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
