[edit] Nickname
The cognomen (nickname) of the 15. century Turkish general is Hadim, which in Turkish means 'eunuch'. It is not 'Hadan' which is not Turkish. Thus, the title of this article needs changing. (UTC)Noyder 11:23, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think there are different spellings for the name. --Thus Spake Anittas 13:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- This person was an Ottoman Pasha and Ottoman Pasha's carry a Turkish name. 'Hadan' is not a Turkish word; even with Ottoman Arabic script, the cognoname 'Hadim' cannot be read or spelt as 'Hadan'. The argument that there are different spellings do not hold water!! As calling a person by a name that is not his, it is an insult to his dignity.
