  • I noticed you adding a AdD for Madshrimps. You made a bit of a hash of the nomination; no worries, I've fixed it all up. In the future you might try following the steps in WP:AFD#How to list pages for deletion a bit more carefully. Cheers! —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 04:23, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
    • Well, you also put the {{subst:afd}} at the bottom of Madshrimps instead of the top, and it didn't look like you even used {{subst:afd2}} in Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Madshrimps, since it didn't have the header line it needs to work. So there may have been more to it. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 04:34, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
      • I apologize - I am very new to this. Trying to get better though HackJandy 04:35, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
        • No problem at all! We're very happy to have you trying. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 04:39, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of Caucasian Americans

Just a point of curiousity... why does it matter that I wrote the article originally?Gateman1997 20:38, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

  • No reason to be honest. It's usually good WP:AFD etiquette to mention it though (check bullet 3). HackJandy 20:42, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for notifying me of your concern over the article's deletion. While consensus is not a supermajority nor unanimity, it is not strictly decided by votes per se (something I've learnt from WP:FAC). I noted several delete votes, such as Turnstep's, that cite rational and reasonable reasons to delete the article, and I took this into account instead of blindly counting (and discounting) votes. I do not feel there was sockpuppetry going on - sockpuppeting by definition has one user pretending to be many. Anon votes are not sockpuppeting, but they are discounted nevertheless. If you feel my deletion of the article was reasonable, feel free to bring it up on Wikipedia:Deletion review. Johnleemk | Talk 09:13, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Are you sure you haven't confused B. Wind's points with Turnstep's? (I definitely agree, btw, that B. Wind's points were the weakest ones in the debate, even if I personally agree with him that differentiation based on race is pointless.) You can add something to deletion review by adding
====[[List of Caucasian Americans]]====

(reasons for review)

under the header for today's date. I am not sure if my decision should be overturned, and as such, I think it would be best if the others involved on the AFD gave their opinions as well. Johnleemk | Talk 10:49, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Exceptional Newcomer

The first week of your edits, you voted so constructively in AfDs! Wow, I see someone with a great start! - Mailer Diablo 20:11, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
