Hacienda Hotel and Casino

The Hacienda Hotel and Casino replaced the old Gold Strike Hotel and Casino which was destroyed by fire on 16 June 1998 [1]..
The hotel is located outside the city limits of Boulder City, Nevada, which does not allow gaming, and is on a parcel of private land within the boundaries of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The Hacienda has 372 rooms, and the casino has table games, slot machines, keno, and a sports book. The hotel overlooks Lake Mead, and tours of the dam by helicopter are available nearby. There is also a cinema showing first-run films, a restaurant/buffet and food court.

Since there were two properties using the Gold Strike name, the owners decided to purchase rights to use the Hacienda name on the new property, the original Hacienda (resort) had been imploded and replaced by the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
