Habar Awal is one of the subclans of Isaq tribe in Northern Somalia. They settle the historic coastal towns of Bulhar, Berbera, and Zaila. They are perceived to be the royal sublclan of Isaq as a result of the colonial adminstration which favored their towns and assisted the natural progress of their civilization.
