The term habban (حبان) is one of several Arabic terms for the bagpipes. The term may be drawn from the Persian word for "bag"[1]
While the term generic, in some areas of the Gulf States the habban is more specifically a variant of the Great Highland bagpipe which has been incorporated into local music [2].
In Kuwait, the term habban refers to the traditional Bedouin bagpipe[3].
