The Haagsche Courant was an independent daily newspaper published in The Hague and distributed throughout the region around this city and is now part of the Algemeen Dagblad.
The Haagsche Courant was established in 1864, published by Belinfante. Since 1883 it was published by Sijthoff and became popular. The newspaper was published until 2005, but lost in latest years many subscriptions. In 2005 it was merged into the Algemeen Dagblad, together with Rijn en Gouwe, Rotterdams Dagblad, de Dordtenaar en the Utrechts Nieuwsblad.
