H. Vishwanath

H. Vishwanath is an Indian politician and former Karnataka education and co-operative minister. He is a leader of backward classes in the Congress party. He hails from K.R.Nagar in Mysore district and is a grassroot politician. He is known widely for the reforms brought in the ministries he has held.
He is in news now for his autobiography "Halli Hakkiya Haadu" (which means Village Bird's Song in Kannada). He has made a passing reference to former chief minister and his Cabinet colleague S M Krishna's close association with Saroja Devi, a famous south Indian film actress. Vishwanath says in his book that Krishna had wanted an election ticket for Saroja Devi in 2004 parliamentary elections.
