The H.F. Brigham Free Public Library is located in Bakersfield, Franklin County, Vermont.

According to 2000 Census figures as reported by the Vermont Department of Libraries, H. F. Brigham Free Library serves a population of 1215, with staffing hours equivalent to 0.64 full time employees, with no employees having an American Library Association accredited Masters of Library Science. Also, volunteers provided an average of 4 hours of services per week.
In 2004 the 792 square foot (74 m²) library reported having a collection of 6804 books ( 3823 adult books, 2981 juvenile books), or about 5.60 books per capita. In addition the library had 475 videos (195 adult, 280 juvenile) and 276 audio items (211 adult, 65 juvenile), for a total collection size of 7555. The library subscibed to 28 periodicals, 3 of them juvenile.
The number of registered borrowers was not reported. Patrons visited the library a total of 2964 times, or 2.44 visits per capita. It circulated 5253 items (2797 adult, 2456 juvenile) or 4.32 items per capita. A total of 1040 reference questions were also handled. 119 items were requested from other libraries through inter-library loan, 156 leant to other libraries. The library offered 20 adult programs and 54 juvenile programs. Total program attendance was 82 for the adult programs, 489 for the juvenile programs. The library was open 22 hours per week.
The annual budget was $22,484. $15500 of this was raised by local taxes — $12.76 per capita, additionally $14,449 was obtain in grant money, and $6984 from other sources. $11,119 of that was spent on staffing, $2351 on book purchases, $295 on audio-visual materials and $18703 on other expenditures.
As of the 2004 data, the library offered high speed Internet access. The library owned 3 computers of which 2 were available for public use. It did not use content filtering. Users logged an average of 7 signups per week. The library did not report having a website.
