Talk:Hội An
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- The trader asked whether the place was Pho and received the answer "Phai! Pho." ("Yes! Pho.").
I don't think this "Pho" is pho(noodle) as currently linked. It must be pho (street), which originally meant a trading quarter. 134.99.112.242 12:23, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't think it was the largest city in the First Century?! Maybe it was meant to say the first century of the Champa Era.
Also a lot of gramatical mistakes.
[edit] Vietnamese words
What does "Chùa cầu" mean and how is it written in Hán Tự? The term I've seen is "Nhật-bàn-kiêù" (日本橋). LordAmeth 10:52, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Faifo
I learned about Hoi-An being called Faifo by westerners. Can Faifo be redirected here, since it doesn't appear to point to anything else? Paulboyland (talk) 05:18, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
