Høvik

Høvik is a suburban centre in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Mainly a residential area, the population (2005) is 4,172.
Høvik has a church, a small shopping area and a train station served by Drammensbanen. Flytoget (Airport Express Train) does not stop at Høvik. Located nearby is the Henie-Onstad Art Centre. There are three schools in Høvik, Ramstad Skole, Høvik Verk Skole and Høvik Skole. There are also some important businesses with offices located in Høvik, eg Det Norske Veritas, Statskraft, and Aker Kværner.
Høvik has beaches which can be crowded during the summer. This is a well-known recreation area the whole year, attracting people from the whole of [Bærum].[citation needed]
