Håkon André Winther (born September 15, 1969 in Tromsø) is the founder of Playerhistory.com an Internet website dedicated to provide a huge amount information of football (soccer) players, clubs, national teams and coaches around the world.

Håkon Winther was born in Tromsø. He is a graduate of Grønnåsen High School, holding a regular high school diploma. Played both football and basketball during his youth, but decided to stick to football at the age of 14.
He has two brothers and one sister. In 1999 he became father to a girl.

Winther played most of his career for local clubs as IF Skarp, IF Fløya, Vannøy SK and Lyngen/Karnes IL except for a few years away from home when he played for Waterford United, TB Tvøroyri, Köping FF and Porsanger FK. Håkon scored a goal in all his debut matches except in his debut for TB.
