Gzemnid is a fictional deity in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. He is a minor deity venerated by beholders. Gzemnid is the only one of the Great Mother's offspring known to have reached god status. He is an elusive creature, rumoured to have excellent command over illusionary magic, especially spells dealing with obscurement or area distortion. He is also known as "the gas giant" on account of his aptitude towards spells of elemental air.
Gzemnid is less aggressive and more calculating than his mother and superior, the Great Mother, and therefore less prone to violent reactions.
Gzemnid's Realm can be found on the plane of the Outlands.
