Gyula Vályi

Gyula Vályi (5 January 1855; Marosvásárhely/Târgu Mureş - 13 October 1913; Kolozsvár/Cluj) was a Hungarian mathematician and theoretical physicist known for his work on mathematical analysis, geometry, and number theory.

- He had a brother and a sister, Gábor (1844-1926) and Róza (1851-1900).
- When he had six years started the school in the Reformed College, in Târgu Mureş, where he studied for 12 years.
