This article began life as "Caña Brava (Gynerium sagitatum)" linked from an article stub on Chala, Peru. It was written in almost unintelligible English. I moved it to this page under the scientific name and the orginal text was rewritten as far as it could be interpreted. I am not a botanist, so I'm not sure of the accuracy of the text. Should be reviewed and, hopefully, expanded by somebody knowledgeable on the topic.--WilliamThweatt 17:21, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
