Gynacantha usambarica is a species of dragonfly in family Aeshnidae. It is found in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and shrub-dominated wetlands.
