Still editing from sources! How can fact be copyright? -- (unsigned comment from RebelScum)

Didn't realize that you were still editing. I thought protocol was to do that sort of editing offline or in a sandbox before posting? But I'm still new, so I could easily be wrong, in which case I apologize. If someone would clarify, that would be nice -- if the article will up substantially different from the sources, I'll gladly remove the copyvio tag.

Fact can't be copyrighted, but a sequence of words stating that fact can.

Rewritten stub, see temp page, swap em over if you can be bothered, otherwise I'll wait a week, A week which I will spend copyvioing all your pages as the sequence of words I found there I also found in the Oxford English Dictionary. RebelScum 19:20, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Geez, honest mistake, and I apologize. I hadn't realized that you did not intend to leave the copyvio text. You don't have to be nasty about it.

I'm trying to figure out how the temp page gets swapped in for the original page.

BTW, there seems to be a discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Copyright_violations_on_history_pages about whether posting copyrighted text and then editing it is a problem because it remains on the history page (although with no real resolution reached).

Maybe you should actually become an expert before trying to act like one if you don't like people geting nasty. I usually preview stuff and don't always sandbox if I'm doing a lot of editing on my own thread. By 'own' I mean that I created a new stub as one did not exist, whilst editing that, if links aren't found, I create a quick new stub from any source case I forget and mostly to prevent others from adding stubs as I am about to do them (no point in two people trying to do the same thing). I also didn't think anyone would get onto it so quickly as it was only linked to from the Welsh gold page, which is a stub I just created from the editing I did on the HRH The Prince of Wales page.
