Gwyn Williams

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gwyn Williams is a former Chelsea FC chief scout who discovered John Terry and helped make a £14m profit on Tore André Flo for the London side.[1]

Gwyn Williams stepped down as Chelsea FC's chief scout in June 2006 after 27 years at Stamford Bridge.[2]

He has now taken up the post of Technical Director aimed mainly at scouting for Leeds United.[3] He will take charge of the first team as they face Southend United following the resignation of Dennis Wise and the release of Dave Bassett and John Gannon.

Prior to joining Chelsea FC as a youth development officer Williams was a teacher at Drayton Manor High School where he held the positions of Head of House and Head of Physical Education.
