[edit] Informal Editor Review for User:Anthony.bradbury

[edit] Edit count

Let's get the edit count out of the way:

Username Anthony.bradbury
Total edits 4863
Distinct pages edited 2794
Average edits/page 1.741
First edit 09:07, 2 April 2006

(main) 1750
Talk 153
User 215
User talk 2358
Image 1
Template talk 1
Category talk 2
Wikipedia 342
Wikipedia talk 38
Portal talk 3

I personally like 2500 edits as a bare minimum for adminship, which you are solidly past. 5000 or so edits seems a reasonable level of experience to try an RfA. You've got solid contributions in Main space and to User Talk.

I like the 3 edits to Portal talk - as many as I have :-)

[edit] Edit review

This is a random selection of edits with my comments on them:

  • [1] good edit; while the image is grisly its appropriate for the article
  • [2] fine edit
  • [3] good job keeping calm and remaining civil in the face of a hostile user
  • [4] good succinct opinion based in policy
  • [5] I disagree with your point here, but I like the way you make it calmly and clearly in the midst of a somewhat rancorous discussion.
  • [6] Indeed
  • [7] Obviously this article in not in English, but the tag is actually wrong, since it appears the article does not exist on another Wikipedia. Cryptic's subsequent change to a {{notenglish}} tag [8] is correct. A minor mistake, but worth wathcing out for.
  • [9] I continue to be impressed by your ability to remain calm and polite in very heated discussions. This is a valuable asset in an admin.
  • [10] Another good edit
  • [11] Indeed
  • [12] obviously I agree with your opinion here :-) You did forget to sign though.
  • [13] This is somewhat incivil comment. In general its best to use the standard warning templates to avoid the possibility of biting newbies, no matter how offensive and inappropriate their edits are. Gwernol 22:23, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
  • [14] a reasonable Prod
  • [15] is interesting. Looking through the history of the Revolved article I can't see a version where it has no content. When Merope nominated it for AfD it was basically a track listing and album cover. It wasn't edited again until Merope speedied it after your comment in the AfD. Do you recall what was going on here?
  • [16] looks good, nice warning
  • [17] perfectly reasonable
  • [18] looking through the full debate, I think your weak keep was good judgment. I'm not wild about using Google results as a measure of notability, but you came down on the right side of this one.
  • [19] nice, civil answer
  • [20] Excellent, civil answer helping a new user
  • [21] fine edit, but "text addition" is not a hugely useful edit summary. This is not a huge issue, but I would like to see a more specific edit summary for this edit
  • [22]] well, yes :-)
  • [23] forgot to sign which you then corrected [24] good. The opinion is fine.
  • [25] another good call

[edit] Summary

You have an impressive edit history and clearly have a good understanding of policy. I believe you are ready to apply for adminship. I would expect that an RfA at this stageis highly likely to pass, although if you waited another couple of months you would be in an even stronger position.
