Gwenan Edwards

Gwenan Edwards has most recently been co-presenting the BBC Proms season from the Royal Albert Hall on BBC2 (2007).
She trained as print journalist with Surrey and South London Newspapers. She then went to work on local radio and television before joining the BBC's flagship regional news programme, Newsroom South East as co-anchor.
In 2000 she joined the BBC's 24 hour news channel, BBC News 24, presenting regularly, especially at the weekends, until 2006. She has also presented the news for BBC World. She has worked on several consumer programmes for ITV and the BBC, and presented a number of classical music programmes, including Cardiff Singer of the World for BBC2. She plays the piano and flute.
She has also worked on the travel programme, BBC FastTrack for BBC World and is currently filming feature items for the programme. She has reported from Africa, India, the Middle East, the US and throughout Europe.
Gwenan was born in Bangor, North Wales and speaks fluent Welsh.
