Gwari

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Gwari or Gbagyi are an ethnic group in central Nigeria. They are predominantly found in the Niger and Kaduna States and the Federal Capital Territory.[citation needed]

Gwari people were often enslaved by some of the nearby Hausa-Fulani emirates.[1]

One famous Gwari is General and former President of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida.[2]
