Guy Goffette

Guy Goffette (born 18 April 1947) is a Belgian-born poet and writer. Goffette published his first book of poems in 1969. Since then he has worked as an editor at the publishing company Gallimard. Goffette's poetry has often been compared with Verlaine (of whom Goffette has written a fictional "biography"). He has written more than fifteen books.
Goffette has also written criticism for Nouvelle revue française. He has received the Prix Mallarmé and the Grand Prix of the Académie française.
