[edit] New Section

Hi Gutworth! Thanks for your advice concerning my recent contribution removing content from User talk:124.187.179.49 [1]. As you could have noticed I removed content I had written myself. Further that IP's contribution (to the article Speech act) was more than 24 hours ago, have a look at his contributions ([2]). Do you think it makes much sense warning him? Do you thing it makes much sense to warn me not to undo my own contributions? --85.176.73.232 21:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC) / aka Zitronfalda

I'm sorry I neglected to notice it was you undoing yourself! I think, though, it is always wise to warn rather recent vandals. If they don't come back, We'll at least have made an try. I wouldn't, however, do this for 1 month or more. Thank you for commenting!Gutworth 03:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Thank you for reverting the vandalism on my user page :-) - (), 18:10, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

You're very welcome. I'm always glad to help remove vandalism! Gutworth 18:36, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fixing capilizations errors

Hello, Gutworth(Benjamin)! I took the liberty of correcting a capitilization error made on your user home page. I hope you don't mind. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.173.239.77 (talk • contribs) 2007-02-12T19:31:31.

I'm very fine with it! Thank you very much. Gutworth 01:54, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pure Frustration at an Abusive User

Hi Benjamin - you posted a note on my talk about deleting sections - these sections were filled with false and incorrect information, and while I would like to take the time to edit it carefully, this will soon become a full time job trying to deal with the user Covergaard. He has decided to make Wikipedia his personal soapbox and has put in multiple entries on various schools that are filled with biases and incorrect information. When I originally tried to edit these - he would just revert it back to his version. He calls our students detainees - an insult and totally incorrect.

I began to see some hope with a talk post on one of the articles by Jimbo Wales:

The DMCA complaint was from the producers of Brat Camp. I guess they don't like that cafety.org has the clips up without permission. I will keep following up on this. It sounds like you have a strong POV on the subject matter here, so please be careful with your editing to make sure it is neutral. But in this case, Aspen Academy is not complaining, so.... --Jimbo Wales 13:56, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I have created an advocate page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Association_of_Members%27_Advocates/Requests/February_2007/Rmagick —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rmagick (talkcontribs).

I responded on Rmagick's talkpage. Gutworth 21:42, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thank you for your support in my recent successful RfA. --Anthony.bradbury 18:48, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

  • Thanks for the support position. However, I've decided to withdraw my acceptance because of real WP:CIVIL concerns. I will try again later when I've proven to myself and others that my anger will no longer interfere with my abilities as a Wikipedia editor. Thanks again, and I'll see you around here shortly. :) JuJube 04:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RfA thanks

Thank you for your support on my Request for adminship, which finished successfully, with unanimous support of 40/0/0.

I will do my best to serve Wikipedia and the community. Again thanks.

Akhilleus gets new weapons.
Gutworth, thanks for your support in my successful RfA.

As the picture shows, the goddesses have already bestowed my new weapons,
which I hope to use to good effect. If you ever need assistance,

Hope you can help.

[edit] Page in namespace

Hi Gutworth, Somehow you created your template blurb page Gutworth/Templates/Blurb in mainspace. I have put it up for speedy deletion as a testpage, which I hope is okay with you. --Slp1 03:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

We'll it got moved so the namespace redirect can go. Thank you. Gutworth 02:20, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User:Gutworth/Templates/Blurb

I moved your template from Gutworth/Templates/Blurb to your user space, I think you created it in the article space by mistake ;) -- lucasbfr talk 08:13, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Your correct. Thanks for doing that. Gutworth 02:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:ACID

Thank you very much for your maintenence on WP:ACID recently. I was wondering if you think it would be good to start up using the maintnence page again. The link to the maintnence page is on the WP:ACID page at the very top. That is where we can record when cleanup and maintnence is done to the collaboration page. Please respond at my talk page. Happy Editing. •Felix• T 14:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok, Welcome on board! •Felix• T 17:39, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GAC backlog elimination drive

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 01:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RFA

Thanks for you constructive criticism. I will work to make more contributions on XFD discussion, and the like. If the admin request doesn't work, I will try at a later time. Thanks again! hmwithtalk 22:17, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, thank you very much for the award. I really appreciate it! hmwithtalk 03:20, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
You deserved it! Gutworth 00:51, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Your RFA

Thank you very much for your kind words. Since opposes mostly consisted of lack of time here, I will simply keep editing at my best, hopefully reaching the status at a later date... when I know that I am ready. Thanks for contribution to the discussion, and happy Wikying. hmwithtalk 14:25, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rfa

Just dropping by to say "thank you" for supporting me in my recent my RfA. I passed the vote, and am now an admin. It will take me some getting used to with the new tools, but I thank you again for the trust. Have a good one, and, as always, happy editing! Jmlk17 04:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA

Hello, Gutworth, and thank you so much for your support in my recent RFA, which passed 59/0/0! [edit] Confused

you said that apparently I (or my IP) vandalized the John Abraham page. How is it vandalism to move a picture from the middle of the page and place it as the actor's profile picture? I apologize if i sound rude, but I was really confused by your announcement of my alleged vandalism... when i'm not exactly sure what exactly i did that you considered to be vandalism. let me know :) thanks a bunch. --Ssarah24

[edit] Thank you X 100

Thank you very much for supporting my RfA, which closed successfully yesterday... W00t! I hope to be a great admin (and editor) and I'm sure you can tell that my use of a large, boldfaced, capital "T" and a big checkmark image in this generic "thank you" template that I swiped from some other user's Talk Page that I totally mean business! If you need anything in the future or if you see that I've done something incorrectly, please come to my Talk Page and let me know. So now I've got a bunch of reading to do.... see you around! - eo 13:39, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RfA thanks

Hi Gutworth. Thank you for your support and kind words in my RfA, which passed with 95 support, 1 oppose, and 1 neutral !votes. It means a lot to me to have your individual support and the collective support of so many others. I truly will strive to carry myself at a level representing the trust bestowed in me as I use the mop to address the never-ending drips of discontent in need of caretaker assistance.

[edit] Kent‎ FAC

Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a Wikiproject Grammar member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Kent‎ article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 23:36, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive

A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.

You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:44, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EditCount

Hey, Gutworth, if you're interested:

$weECMessages['pt-br'] = array(
        "editcount" => "Número de edições",
        "editcount-des" => "Digite um nome de usuário ou um IP para ver o número de edições feitas por ele.",
        "editcount-edits" => "Edições",
        "editcount-namespace" => "Domínio",
        "editcount-noedits" => "Não foram encontradas edições feitas por $1.",
        "editcount-notuser" => "$1 não é um usuário válido.",
        "editcount-percent" => "Percentagem do total de edições",
        "editcount-percentsym" => "%",
        "editcount-show" => "Mostrar número",
        "editcount-toolbox" => "Número de edições do usuário",
        "editcount-total" => "Total",
        "editcount-username" => "Usuário:"
);

I'm pretty sure this works for 'pt' as well. --Christycorr 10:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GA Review for Thuggee

I would ask that you hold off giving the Thuggee article GA status until the [I've raised] about the sources they use for the article are addressed. kerim (talk)

That sounds reasonable. Gutworth (talk) 20:47, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
