[edit] Of decadent daffodils
If you look at the page, you will see that there is ALSO a Narcissism (psychology) article. But the Narcissism article is about the generic word, it's origins and it's shades of meaning.
The word originates from "Narcissus" and when he finished pining away for love of his own reflection he morphed (so we are told) into these little flowers...it seems suitable, and departs from the "online cult of Narcissism" connotations of at least three well known paintings of the myth, which shows, rather than tells, the reader exactly what the article is about to do, which is move away from popular distortions, back towards the origin.
Mind you, there may be some very colorful Gainsborough Dandys, Modern Metrosexuals or "Boy George" portraits that could go in too? --Zeraeph 15:40, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- I suppose you're right. Bearing in mind the legend of Narcissus, the image of the flower makes sense. Much as I hate to admit; I barely read the article before removing the image, and when I went back, the legend was right there in my face, at the top of the page. I should really try to at least scan articles for meaning with their images before removal. My apologies. --GUTTERTAHAH 15:55, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your username
I read the story of the typos in your username. I thought you might want to know that you can change your username. — Reinyday, 15:27, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I actually rather like how it turned out, odd as that may seem. I appreciate you taking the time to tell me about that though. --GUTTERTAHAH 15:30, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Cavestory Title Screen
I'm glad to hear that didn't hurt your feelings or anything; I was sorry to see you get snapped at when that image went up for its brief time. Agree or not, people ought to be polite. Anyway, as far as I know, ordinary users can't delete images; they can only propose them and wait for an admin to get to it. If you want, you can slap a "speedy delete" tag on it, but I'm content letting the week ride by in case anyone thinks of a good use for it.
Thanks for the note. ^_^ --Masamage 20:45, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Queen SFAB.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:04, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
