Georgetown University Student Investment Fund (GUSIF) is a professional money managing fund, which serves two clients: Georgetown University and the Georgetown University Alumni Association. The Fund currently manages over $350,000 with an initial investment of $100,000 from Georgetown University in 1997, and an additional $100,000 from the Alumni Association in 2000. Since its inception on March 21, 1997, GUSIF has been completely student-run by undergraduate students in all four undergraduate schools of the University, with the goal of effectively managing these two accounts while providing an educational resource to Georgetown University undergraduates.
As part of GUSIF's educational mission, notable guests have included Peter Weinberg, former CEO of Goldman Sachs International and CNBC's Jim Cramer who taped Mad Money during his 2006 Back to School Tour at Georgetown. More information can be found on the GUSIF Website
