Guruvarajapet is located at 13°06′45″N 79°32′50″E / 13.1125, 79.54722.

It is one of the main lungi manufacturing village in Vellore district about 85 km from Chennai. This village is famous for its Handloom and Powerloom clothes. This village is situated near Arakkonam (15 km), Tiruttani (12 km) and Sholinghur (18 km). The streets in this village are so beautifully constructed and is believed to be 300 years old.

Mr. V. Kalyanasundaram popularly called as Thiru. Vi. Ka a Tamil freedom fighter, Tamil literate and writer has stayed in this village. Mangalam Kizhar a Tamil freedom fighter also stayed in this village. Kirupanantha Variyar, a Tamil isai virpanner ( a famous Hindu mythologu preacher of Tamils) also visited here many times.
