Gurupa (correctly Gurupá) is a city on the Amazon River in Brazilian state of Pará.^[1]

Gurupa is the name of Amazon.com's content delivery infrastructure (hence the "gp" in Amazon URLs, e.g. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/044653143X/). The prior content delivery infrastructure was called Obidos
