Gurbaksh Singh Chahal (born July 17, 1982) is an award winning entrepreneur, author and TV personality. He was also the Founder, Chairman & CEO of two advertising companies which were sold for over $340 million.

Chahal was born in the town of Tarn Taran, near Amritsar in Punjab, India to Avtar and Arjinder Chahal. He is of Punjabi-Sikh descent. In 1985, his parents received a visa for America through a lottery-based system in India. A year later, he immigrated to the United States at the age of 4 with the rest of his family and settled in San Jose, California. Gurbaksh is the youngest of four siblings.[1]

On December 15, 1998, at the age of 16, started his first venture, ClickAgents. ClickAgents was an advertising network focused on performance-based advertising. Two years later, on November 1st 2000, ValueClick announced it agreed to buy ClickAgents in a $40 million all-stock merger. [2] Chahal had a three year non-compete agreement with ValueClick.
In January 12, 2004, Chahal formed BlueLithium another advertising network which was recognized as an innovator in the online advertising space in a Business 2.0 article. [3].
In 2006, under Chahal's leadership, BlueLithium was named Top Innovator by AlwaysOn. [4]
On October 15th, 2007 Yahoo! bought BlueLithium for $300 million in cash. Chahal remained CEO of the company through the transition period. [5] Chahal is now working on his next start-up gWallet. [6] gWallet is a site that will allow its users to find deals on merchandise they are looking for via the internet. He currently resides in San Francisco, USA.

Chahal's memoir, titled "The Dream", will be published by Palgrave-Macmillan (part of St. Martin's Press) and globally releases in January 2009. He has also appeared on various media publications including: Entrepreneur, Wall Street Journal, Business 2.0, BusinessWeek, Forbes, New York Times, CNBC, NBC, and Fox Business Channel. Chahal was also featured on the cover of San Francisco Magazine on June 2008. He is also rumored to be part of the new reality TV show on Fox Broadcasting Company's channel called Secret Millionaire.
