- This is a Chinese name; the family name is Guo (郭).
Guo Yi was a minister of the Three Kingdoms Period, and son to the famous strategist Guo Jia.
Guo Yi was taken into the home of Cao Cao following the death of Guo Jia, going on to achieve the title of Wei Imperial Tutor. Guo Yi was known throughout Wei as very educated, like his father, but had changes of manners when meeting with different people.
