Apologies...
FlashGT here. I just saw you left me another note about the Letitia Dean official web site. Apologies for not replying before now - I'm still new and having trouble getting used to the way Wikipedia works! Anyway, the problem seems resolved now. Thanks again for your help & advice. Sparkley cutie-pie
Do you think some reference to Abi's image should be included in one of the articles ? She was very very adorable in the omnibus again this week. I feel to improve those articles her cuteness should be mentioned. This should also be include in the Lorna Fitzgerald and Hunsbury articles, to improve their reliability and accuracy. I want to cuddle Lorna Fitzgerald 00:27, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Oh hello again, I havent seen you around in a while, I see you're still loving Lorna :) Not in Hunsbury, no, but possibly in the others if you can source. Did you find one yet? Gungadin♦ 00:46, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

- Not as such...but I'm sure loadsa other people think that too! Can't we put it in Hunsbury seeing as thats where she lives (i used to live there too lol!). I cant believe all the other admins dont agree with mme, how can they not think she's simply precious and adorable I want to cuddle Lorna Fitzgerald 00:56, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

- I dont think her cuteness has much relevance to Hunsbury, but maybe a notable residents to can be added to the article instead, unless she's already listed in northampton or something (I dont really know the rules for that kind of thing). What admins? You're not still giving AnemoneProjectors a hard time are you? or have you found another admin to fight with? You just enjoy arguing dont u? ;) Gungadin♦ 01:16, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

- AnemoneProjectors is just being horrible ! Also FisherQueen, Ariel and Isotope23 are all ganging up against me. I really dont wanna argue, if they just let me put it in the article then there wouldnt be any need. However, they are SO determined not to 'give in', regardless of what i write is worthy or not. They therefore keep removing anything i write about her and they keep blocking my account indef (a bit harsh). I just think it should be included -I dont really have time to edit wikipedia every day but i do anyway just to show them they cant push me around just cos they're admins (ie: they spend too much time on the internet). She is very adorable, nobody could possibly think otherwise unless they have a heart of stone, and therefore its gonna be included. I want to cuddle Lorna Fitzgerald 01:34, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Cuddly girls
Hello again. Recently you said that we could put that Lorna Fitzgerald was cuddly and adorable if I could source it. Now, AnemoneProjectors said on his talk page when talking with a different user (its in one of his archives) that an official myspace page DOES count as a source. So a bebo page should count too so there it is. By his very own defiition, the fact that Lorna is adorable CAN be sourced and should be included. Cuddle me, Lorna (talk) 19:32, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well i'm not surprised he was rude if you go saying things like that, and I dont want to read that kind of nastiness about him either, so im removing your personal attack.
- I just had a look at the conversation. He was talking about official MySpace accounts in External Links, he didn't mention anything about sources. Is this Bebo page actually Lorna's? or is it run by her fans? If it's a fansite describing her as cute and cuddly, then it still cant be used as a reliable source. If she has her own Myspace account, then it can be added to her external links and you could also use it as a source for biographical information I suppose. However, I doubt she's going to be praising herself for being cute and cuddly on her own personally written website (unless she's a tad narcissistic), so it's not going to be any use for what you want to include.Gungadin♦ 20:09, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

- I thought I noticed a while back that they werent going to be tagging images that were uploaded before March 2007 anymore, so those ones might be ok to leave, but i don't know if I imagined this, because I cant find where it says it now. I also read that all images that dont adhere to 10c after March 2008 will be deleted!!!

- This bot is flawed, because the programmer hasnt taken into consdieration that other users can include imagews in other articles that the uplaoder did not intend it to be used in. Even if we include the article names on every image, someone else can come along and put the same image in an actor article. The bot will tag it again and spam the uploader (me). And if you or I didnt come on here regularly, they would all have been deleted. Also, when people move pages, the bot tags them because it doesnt recognise links to redirects on the image description page. I bet that next year they will come up with a new rule, and they will probably get tagged all over again.Gungadin♦ 23:55, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

- The redirects thing is REALLY STUPID!!!!!!!!! Obviously the bot recognises that an image is used in the wrong article because of the redirects, but how will it handle an image that's used in the page it's meant to be used on, plus one it's not? I don't think I've seen that happen yet. But a few are that way at the moment because I haven't been putting actor's articles on the image description pages, unless the actor has died. anemone

Ive noticed that happen. Some images that have the character article included have been tagged when they are also used in an actor's page. It apparently checks all instances where the image is used, and then checks the description, and if all the page names arent there, it tags it. It would be much more helpful if they just programmed the bot to automatically include the page names in the FUR instead of tagging them for deletion. I did suggest this to Betacommand, but he said that he wont do that because the FUR might be wrong!?! I'm not sure what that has to do with anything, as his bot is only checking for 10c. All my FURs may be bullshit, but as long as I include the article name, his bot wont tag my images (unless the bot has a multi-purpose, of course).Gungadin♦ 01:09, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- It would make more sense for the bot to remove the image from any article not listed in the image description page. By the way I'm using the category EastEnders images so anything not in there will go unchecked by me. anemone

Unreliable sources
Gungadin, I appreciate your passion about the EastEnders, I truly do. But please, be very cautious about what sources that you are using to insert information into Wikipedia. Tabloids should be avoided at all costs. See the list at British press, and please, try to stick only with information from the upper half of the list? If something can only be sourced to a tabloid, we probably shouldn't be including it on Wikipedia. --Elonka 17:27, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry Elonka, but that's preposterous. Tabloids often cover soap material, and nothing about what they are being used for in this article is inaccurate. I was told (not so long ago by you) that we should be using third party references whenever we could, so I changed all the episode guide refences to media ones, because you objected to the use of primary sources. Now i'm being told that they are unacceptable. This FAC is not worth the destruction of the article and I refuse to suck arse and follow every whim from the reviewers. I dont think you should either.Gungadin♦ 17:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Personal attacks
I am extremely disappointed with your behavior. The debate about unreliable sources aside, this edit was completely uncalled for, as you made extremely rude comments about another editor.[1] Please review Wikipedia's policy on no personal attacks, edit your comment, and cease from these kinds of slams at other editors. --Elonka 17:50, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- I couldnt give a toss if you are disappointed in me. Stop telling me what to do. There is no personal attack there, so stop sucking arse and degrading yourself. I realise you are desperate to become an admin, but dont use me as your pawn to garner favour with Tony.Gungadin♦ 17:53, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Civility and personal attacks
Accusing other editors of "elitism and snobbery" and of "sucking arse" is unacceptable. Please keep your interactions with other users civil and avoid making personal attacks or you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. WjBscribe 18:33, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of EastEnders spin-off characters
List of EastEnders spin-off characters, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that List of EastEnders spin-off characters satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of EastEnders spin-off characters and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of List of EastEnders spin-off characters during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Collectonian 21:00, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Target?
There are way too many character pages out there. But I'll refrain from prodding or nominating any more since I don't want to overwhelm a WikiProject. But be honest with the three (that's like 1% of them, right?) that I have nominated; if you can't find sources, let them go. You can always recreate articles once you gather your sources. Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Fair use rationale for Image:Sonia&Naomi.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sonia&Naomi.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Coronation street idea
Hi there! Thanks for bringing that AfD to my attention - it is one which slipped my notice. A wikiproject for Coronation Street is something that I have contemplated many a time, although been put off by the lack of interest the Emmerdale one had (it's now rather quiet). Articles related to a subject or parent tend to be favoured more if a wikiproject is behind their maintenance, and given Coronation Street is the core soap of the UK (that isn't bias, but judging by it's length in comparison), it does seem silly not to have one.
With regards to individual character articles on wikipedia, my views are very mixed and I don't outright favour or oppose their existance, but rather judge upon their neccessity, content (if sourced, a bonus) and actual length of time a character has been in existance, which helps determine the ease at which the article may be expanded quickly or not; hence, the minor/recurring character articles I have pushed have consolidated alot of articles falling into this category, but I admit some may have deserved to keep their own.
I think a wikiproject would be an excellent idea to help organise views, comments and discussions for the entire soap and its associated articles, and hopefully be a place to store archive debates/afds etc, amongst other things. Let me know what you think of my view and we could take it from there. Right now, as you may agree, the whole articles for the soap are quite messy, and there is no general guideline about what can stay, what goes where or how they should be organised, or even a team to help defend those articles which certainly shouldn't be anywhere near an AfD.
On another note, excellent work with fixing the Roy Cropper article! Bungle (talk • contribs) 10:17, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response; seems like the way forward then. Would you want to start the wikiproject off (given you proposed the original idea), and hopefully as with the Emmerdale one, folk will come across it once the project makes its mark on talk pages, then hopefully we can expand upon it from there. I am thinking of maybe creating a separate area as list as many archive AfDs we can find (in time), given it seems more frequent that these soap AfDs are occuring; to have archive debates easily referenced could prove advantageous in coming times. Of course, the main concern at the moment is getting guidelines set out and cleaning up what it currently quite a large mess. Bungle (talk • contribs) 15:12, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hey! Good stuff getting the ball rolling. As for the colour, well, that is a negligable issue and you mentioned, is easily changable once the core areas are drawn out. Given you're a member of the EastEnders wikiproject which does at least still function actively, have you any suggestions to effectively promote the wikiproject's existance? I plan to do an assessment scale and amend tot the talk pages gradually, but if the Emmerdale one is anything to go by, people tend not to browse around talk pages much, some if ever. On 12 September 2007, you made a request to the League of Copyeditors for a copyedit on Pauline Fowler. Because of a heavy backlog and a shortage of copyeditors, we have been unable to act on your request in a timely manner, for which we apologize. Since your request, this article has been subject to significant editing and may no longer be a good candidate for copyediting by the League. If you still wish the League to copyedit this article, please review this article against our new criteria and follow the instructions on the Requests page. This will include your request in our new system, where it should receive more prompt attention. Finetooth (talk) 18:41, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
